´ I’m NOT a fan of fantasy and stuff like that, so I’m an obvious hater of World of Warcraft. But, suddenly I saw the game BULLET WITCH, and I think that fantasy creatures equiped with massive firepower are pretty awesome :D

Alicia is a mysterious girl, equipped with an inner voice and a broom-like gun, fighting in the year 2013 against a horde of demons that are walking the earth. She has her own goals, but fights along with the remaining humans, using her “gunbroom” and her magic forces. She is able to create tornados and summoning thunders and meteorite showers, fighting against gigantic creatures.
Alicias spells include the creating of a small defense wall, healing nearly-dead people, casting irrtating attack of ravens and enhance her gunbroom with elementary power, like a “wind-shotgun”, a “thunder-gatling” and a “light-rifle”, also the “mighty spells”, like Thunder, Tornado and Meteorite shower.

You know, BW was for me a big piece of individuality. The fact that the game deals with a GIRL instead of a man, and also the fact that this girl kicks as much ass as the Master Chief, and the fact that the girl is so f**kin’ hot I’d do her if could, impresses me. Along with Alicias incredible powers, the game has a great physical engine, creating an almost fully destroyable environment, ginving Alicias powers a destructible beauty. Also, you can upgrade her broom by equipping it with a shotgun, a sniper rifle and a gatling. What’s not to like? So, at the end, you got a hot-ass witch-girl, able to create chaos and destruction, along with a 78-inch-gunbroom and a dark inner voice, leading her through the ravaged world.

But, as every game, even BW is not perfect at all. What I especially dislike on the game is the fact that you got infiinite ammo. So, you can really turn off your brain and hold the fire-button throughout the whole game, maybe sometimes you cast a thunder to blow up a tank or create a tornado to blow away helicopters and demons, but Alicias broom is just a sick weapon. Too sick.
Further, the game is just made up to simple, too easy, too few functions and too easy walkthrough, although there is no map for the areas you play in, so it is possible for you to run around through a huge city and not finding the next part. OH YEAH, that sucks the kost, just F**KIN RUNNING AROUND through the wohle game. She has a f**kin broom man, why she just can’t sit on it and float over the ground? She doesn’t even need to fly!!!11
Sometimes I just miss the thrill of a difficult game. Nevertheless, I died many times because sometimes this game becomes unfair, for example when a demonic commander appears and orders a full fire concentration on me, and I get shot down by a dozen of demons, which I usually could kill with a melee-attack. What I LIKE in the game is, as said, that the protagonist is girl, and also I like the post-apocalyptic story of BW. Within 7 years, humanity was reduced to less than a billion, through war, viruses and demons. Game itself takes place in 2013 – not so fair away form us.

BW is a game which has great potential. I’d love to play a possible second part, just because of the sick story. AND the hot-ass girl. =D

9Yeah you’ve read right. Nintendo confirmed a remake of the best Pokémon Versions ever. Pokémon Silver and Gold. One more time we can travel in Johto. With improved graphics, improved sounds but still the best Pokémon ever. Even Ovi and me have the same opinion that this Versions were the best ones. But we don’t know if they’ll be like the original Versions. But it seems like it IS like the older Versions.

We sure can be curious about it! There’s also a trailer released by Nintendo.
Have fun while watching it!

Game Report: Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360)

Yay, finally holidays! Time for some new reviews and more, but also a lot of time for gaming. Along with a bunch of games, I also got a copy of RESIDENT EVIL 5 by my side! :D

The story of RE5 starts 2 years after the incidents in the animated movie Resident Evil – Degeneration, when Chris Redfield, known from the first game, is now a member of the anti-bioterrorism organisation BSAA, and travels to the Kijuju Autonomous Zone in Africa, for the investigation of a black market deal. He meets Sheva Alomar, another BSAA member who acts as his partner from now on. After getting mission briefing and equipment, they suddenly get attacked by the local people, who are infected by a type of parasite. Chris and Sheva decide to trace down the origin, and especially Chris will face people he knows.

I play this game now for like a week, but why do I not treat it like a Resident Evil game? Because it isn’t at all. Resident Evil 5 is what you can call a “classical shooter”. Also there are a lot of similes between Resident Evil 4 and RE5. For erxample you play in the “over-the-shoulder”-perspective, the game is split into “chapters”, you can buy a whole bunch of weapons and equipment and there are quciktime event-scenes. New in RE5 is the partnerwork. Some actions can only be executed if you work together with your partner, also when you’re almost dead, your partner can still help you back to consciousness. RE5 has also a Coop-Mode, so you can play with a friend over XBox LIVE or System Link, but also you can play on one console.

Especially the Coop-Mode is what makes the game pretty interesting. You can play with your friend instead with an AI-partner, which makes it easier to play. Nevertheless me and my friends had our failures in the game X_x”
But I recommend to first play the game in single mode, because it could get problematic if you get used to a “non-AI”-partner. I had some problems at the very beginning when i started to play in single mode, after all those numerous Coop-sessions.
Later in the game, you’ll get the chance to play the game mode “The Merchenaries”, where you shoot down as many enemies as you can to collect points for unlocking new maps, also for new extras. There is also a downloadable Versus-mode for the game, but unfortunately, it’s not allowed in Germany. God-damn it, if it is SO brutal, why the f**k did they allow the game itself, filled with more brutality than this sh**ty little mode ._.

What I dislike on the game is the fact that there is no horror anymore in this game. Resident Evil used to be a “survival-horror”-genre, but this is rather a “survival-action”-game. I miss the thrill of suddenly appearing zombies out of dark corners…wait, there aren’t any! The whole game is filled with the sunlight of Africa, and there isn’t even a little piece of horror. I think the japanese name for Resident Evil, “Biohazard”, fits more in this part.

Regardless of the missing horror, I can recommend RE5 to every fan of shooters, also to fans of Gears of War 2. Enjoy the “Fear you can’t forget”.
