To be honest, I am a fan of Phantasy Star Universe. If I had a credit card, i would play it online, too
Now, i got a Grip on Phantasy Star Portable for my new PSP, and of course, i HAD to try it out. And I was heavily dissapointed.
I like the Idea of having my own Avatar playing in the game. But whatever Sega thought while creating the game, it seriously wasnt something good.
I mean, I just play through every Mission of PSU and AOTI, with a story background maybe, but its still just the same missions over and over again. The whole Game is just a Port of the XBox version with decreased grafics and inferior controls due to the PSP. I cant really think of anything positive to say…. well, even the own Character is the main Character thing is just done poorly, since you never say something, you stay mute as a fish. Every now and then you can state how you feel about this and that and wether to trust someone or not, and thats all about it.
Worst thing : there is no possibility of playing online, what means that you WILL have to find friends who also own the game and have the same level as you do to play together.
To be honest, im very happy that I did not spend over 10 bucks for that little sucker. I will burry it deep inside the “i should not have bought this” box, maybe somewhere between DoA4 and WoW
